On Monday June 3rd’s class, my group and I furthered our idea for our app. We scrapped our idea for a dice roll. One member had experimented with a 3D cube but deemed the animation and roll to be laggy and inconsistent, so this method was ruled out. I had suggested a derivative of the coin flip, where a random number 1 through 6 were to be generated and a picture was to be shown according to the respective integer. My group dismissed this idea because it is bald and simple. I agreed with them but proposed it as a back up in case of difficulties down the road.
A different member proposed a side scrolling game. The group seemed animated toward this idea. They brainstormed for ideas on obstacles and the main character. They found a goofy picture of Professor von Hollen. It’s quite scary. I proposed a simple side scrolling jumping game similar to the Google Dinosaur game. We agreed that the enemies in the game will have group members’ faces.
